Erm, first off, this isn’t a sponsored post or anything similar. I just want to list the reasons why I like Entrecard and how we can actually use this Widget to our advantage.

1. Use Entrecard for Branding Purposes – consistent Visibility is essential in Branding your Website. Your logo clearly serves as your Online Business Card thus you can use it (logo) as your Entrecard Image for instant recognition.

2. Traffic – We all know Entrecard brings in heavy traffic. hands down* These droppers are usually coming from fastdrops.com, entrecard credit generator by thegermz.com, entrecard drop list and tysblog.com entrecard dropping script. So make sure you get to add your sites to them.

3. Free Inbound Link – Most websites whose owners are Entrecard fanatics do take time to feature their top 10 entrecard droppers to return the dropping gesture. You get a free one-way link in return! Aint that cool?

4. Earn Money from your Entrecard Credits – There is a big demand for Entrecard Credits, therefore you can earn money selling ‘em. I’ve seen 1000 EC’s being sold for $3 and $10,000 EC’s being sold for $30.

5. Use your Entrecard Credits to Sponsor a Contest – Sponsoring contests can really be beneficial. You get the chance to increase your backlinks and traffic. But what if you don’t have any dough, service or product to offer? Then simply give away Entrecard Credits!

6. Networking – Log in to your Entrecard Account and click “Campaign”. You will see all blogs registered to Entrecard by Category. Just click on your Niche and start networking! Whether you want to exchange links, comment on blogs for quality backlinks or simply get in touch with other webmasters.

7. Purchase using Entrecard Credits – Log in to your Entrecard Account and click “Shop”, this section gives you a chance to purchase stuff they have listed using your EC Credits. You get to buy domain names, books, upgrades, advertising space and more!

8. Free 125×125 Advertising – If it isn’t that obvious yet, the Entrecard widget is certainly a free 125×125 Banner Ad Advertising! Some websites even place their Entrecard Widget Above the fold! You do not have to spend too much just to advertise your site. Also, if you have always wanted to have a banner on johnchow.com / problogger.net but do not have the resources then this is your big chance!

9. Take Advantage of Entrecard’s Partnerships – Recently Entrecard announced their partnership with SezWho. They encouraged their members to use this tool to drive useful comments to their sites! I believe this is only the beginning and Entrecard will have more useful tools and services that we members can avail of in the future.

10. Discover Awesome Websites! – Since joining Entrecard, I have added more links to my bookmarks folder. Most of the sites I have discovered have either come from the index page of the Entrecard Website (just look on the left side where it says, “Members’ recent posts“, there are topic titles there that I just can’t help but click) and from clicking through banners shown in the widget (make sure your image or tagline is inviting enough to catch some attention).
