Hello, was just wandering iff there is any way to get around not having a logo.i dont really want to be spending money on logos as i cant afford getting logos made up for every site that i put up.cant i just have a plain header with the title of my site?this would make things a lot easier.this seems to be a common problem i have with with all your themes.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for the suggestion. Will be keeping that in mind. Kindly download again the theme. It has been updated for you. At General Settings, if you choose to 'Use alternative logo instead of primary logo' and leave alternative logo empty, the logo will not be displayed.
Regarding the 'plain header' with site title being displayed, will try to make this available on the next update of Inceptive Theme and on the next premium theme.
Thanks,

Hello,
I just installed the inceptive theme to upgrade my site with a new design. However, all I see is a blank page. I have tried adding home page sections, twitter and footers - yet nothing shows - even though I hit save.
Can you please see: mobilemarketingsells.com and let me know what the problem might be?
Thanks,
BrianPosted 1 year ago # -
HI Brian Fluhr,
There could be a conflict with the plugins that you're using. Please try deactivating ALL of them. If the theme works after doing this, activate the plugins one at a time and see if the theme works. With this process, you'll be able to identify which plugin(s) had a conflict with the inceptive theme.
Hope these helps,

Yo webmaster,
How do I
1) Insert/replace icons in homepage area?
2) Remove Twitter link from homepageThanks!
Posted 1 year ago # -
Hi Darren,
To replace the icons at the homepage sections, upload your new icons at images/icons_65x65 folder. Size should be 65x65 pixels. Then, go to "General Settings->Homepage Section" and set the icons from there.
To remove the Twitter link, you may edit admin/admin-init.php and change line 467.
From: "std" => "twitter-id",
To: "std" => "",
This will set default Twitter ID to empty string. Then after that, go to General Settings->Accounts and remove values in twitter ID. That will do the fix.
Hope these helps,

Hi,
I would like to use the inceptive theme with a slightly larger logo that 400 x 100 - ideally a minimum of 500 x 136 - is there anyway to change the allowed logo size?
Thanks
TheaPosted 1 year ago # -
Hi Thea Palmer,
A 500x136 logo is too large that it will surely overlap the navigation area and the slider area. I do recommend that you resize the logo perhaps at 368x100. You may use any graphic application software you have.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply. You are right that a larger logo would overlap with the navigation - so what I was hoping for was a quick fix that shifted the whole design down abit to allow for a larger logo? Also is there anyway to change the navigation bar so that it extends the whole width of the page?
Many thanks!
TheaPosted 1 year ago # -
Hi Thea,
Right. You cannot use a logo larger than the allowable space.
By design, the navigation bar cannot be extended. If you'd like to have the theme redesigned to fit your desire, we can do that for you but you'll have to pay for the changes. If you have decided to do so, you may contact webmaster@wpthemedesigner.com.
Hope these helps,

How do I remove the date and author below the post title in single posts?
I am trying to remove the date that appears below the title of the posts, I already went to the single.php file and removed the line of code pertaining to the date, but that only solves the problem at the bottom (where the categories and tags show up), yet I cannot seem to find where to remove the date and author that appears below the post title.
Thank you.

Hi Alex,
To remove that part, go to admin/theme-functions.php at line 98.
There you will see the get_the_time() and get_the_author_meta().
Be careful in editing. Make sure you keep the syntax correct.Hope this helps,

Hello webmaster,
I can not change order of custom-menu by drag and drop at Appearance -> Menus.
Widgets works drag and drop perfectly, and any plugin is not installed. Are there solutions of this problem?
Thank you.

Hi Minori,
I think you are using wordpress version 3.0. Right? That's one of the latest features in Wordpress 3.0. We currently have not added that feature to our themes so that any version from 3.0 and below can work with our themes. We will add that feature when the current version gets very much stable on its new features.
Hope this helps,

I'd like to feature pages instead of posts in the homepage slider, is that possible?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Hi Meagan,
Yes it's possible. Try doing this:
1. Go to plugins > jquery-slider.php
2. Go to line 24 where there is query_posts().
3. Edit query_post to look like this:
query_posts("post_type=page&order=DESC");Hope this helps,

Hi WPTD Webmaster,
I have recently downloaded the your Inceptive Theme for my web hosting site. First off, Thank you for the fantastic theme! I really am impressed with the visual aspect and the back end functionality of the site.
I have run into a couple small issues while trying to setup the theme for my website. I am wondering if you may have some guidance as to what I may be doing wrong? I have reviewed the FAQ's provided in the theme and look through the forums, but still unsure why a couple features are not working for me.
1. I am trying to configure my first post for the slider on home page. The text and image are showing up fine, but I have also tried to add the "Learn More" and "Buy Now" buttons as shown in your Inceptive demo theme. Unfortunately, they are only showing up as text in the slide. They do not show as a link and they are not showing the button.gif for the background? They are both showing in the actual post that I've created, but not on the homepage slider. Any ideas?
2. When trying to upload images using the image uploader in Wordpress posts, nothing is happening. I click on the "upload image" icon, but the image loader is not popping up. I have tried in both IE and Firefox. I am not getting an error message, and nothing happens when I click the icon. Any ideas on this one?
If needed, the website is thewebsolutionsource.com
I really appreciate your time and help!

Hi,
I have http://www.tampaseo.com. I have the theme installed. Now, when I try to add an image to a post, nothing happens. It does not work.
I also cannot press "edit" on the permalinks button...
Could you please help?
Thanks,

Thank you for the reply. Yes everything is working well now. I went ahead and removed Wordpress version 3.1.1 and installed version 3.0.
That appears to have resolved all of the issues I was having.I am really enjoying the theme!
Thanks again

Why has it been 5 days with no reply?
Posted 9 months ago # -
Hi Andrew,
Try resizing the image first before uploading to the site. That perhaps would do the fix.
The reason behind is that the php script that does the thumbnail generation cannot generate thumbnails for very large images.WPTD Webmaster
