I also, sorry to say, did not put two and two together and realize you are a Filipino. I’m an American living permanently in the Philippines and I blog actively. One blog is on the subject of the Philippines and especially now that I have built up a Filipino as well as a foreigner audience (thanks readers), I always get questions that start out with something like, “If only … ” and end with “Please help me make some money”. I am always on the lookout for successful Filipinos online to point them to for inspiration/information.

I’m not sure but I think I ever use your submission services to submit my theme in the past.

I have similar website that provide free wordpress themes since Feb 2009, but till now I still not get a lot of traffic and download. Do you have any tips for me?

I want to increase traffic and download from my site, then to increase my income for sure

Currently I only promote my site only by submit the free theme to wp theme site and forums.

I totally agree with you. We can make money online. All we need is persistence. I’ve been problogging since 2005, and it was only this year that I got direct ads for one of my business blogs, and opportunities are also slowly coming in for my personal blogs. This is a very inspiring story. I believe people can really make money online when they know their goals so they know what to focus on. People who are just beginners or who are just planning to start this venture should also have the determination in achieving their aims.

It was mentioned in this article that content is important and I highly agree with that. In marketing, I believe that people would come to you depending on what you can show, on what you can offer, and what they can learn and get for their benefit. I also just use theme submissions for promoting my themes but most traffic are just viral. like when i release a theme, ppl blog abt it..

i suggest you get exposure from other famous sites on ur niche.. like submitting your themes to wphacks, wpzoom.. sites that are featuring wordpress themes.

true! ctr on this niche is very very low.. i suggest you do keyword research (especially those with higher ctr) and focus on them.

goodluck with it.. just continue with that you’re doing. set a goal and when you achieve it.. double it next time. Research, Learn and then Apply.

haha there are lots of tutorials lying around the web.. just google it! Seriously, everything that I do now .. are self-taught. Sure I learned programming in school.. but I’m good at designing because I practice a LOT and I study a lot and I design a lot even when i sleep. So just go ahead.. research and learn! Have fun!

A few questions, how do you do to have so many RSS subscribers… I have been fighting and fighting and only reached 10 subscribers in 3 months.. I MUST be doing something wrong obviosly.. is there any secret of that? I also noticed that some people get like 500 followers on twitter.. With all the power i could read barely 15… just wondering..

the other question is how do you convinced wphosting to host you for free and how do you convinced those sites to pay 10 bucks to place their banner in your site.
