Flood in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines has affected 80% of our Barangays here. More than anything, flood victims need food to eat thus we decided to push through with this Feeding Program Proj. We shall be using the money to purchase rice and noodles and distribute it this weekend.
I also appreciate if you blog, plurk, or tweet this Feeding Program Project. We have currently raised $185 at PLURK. Every bit of help counts!!

[...] This is what I read to my fellow blogger who affected in flash floods in Cagayan de Oro City. He so disappointed to our local government even the President in this country. What I would like to express this post is that there is no action that came from our government from Manila. I read that they will give funds for Nothern Mindanao for those people and family who affected in this tragedy but when they will give this fund? If the affected families are died? or they will put this funds in there pocket for their family? How stupid this kind of people. That’s money is not yours it’s for the KAGAY-ANONS. Please read post below for the blogger who affected the flash floods in Cagayan de Oro and was so disappointed to the President. This post is from kimquilinguing. By the way Chiq Montes is asking for your kindness to help our KABABAYAN here in Cagayan de Oro. Just donate $3 to help the victims in Cagayan de Oro via paypal. To read more about the donation you can read this post. [...]

Nice to have peoples like your group that is so concern to other peoples need. I hope you can raise more than for the food so you can also help them to have cloth, blanket in the cold of the night. I know shelter is too much, but nothing is impossible for Filipino people when they come together as one, united. Peace out!

Pano nga bah nagkaroon ng ganun kagrabeng pagbaha sa CDO? Come to think of it? It’s not only the nature that we are talking about here. It also includes the creator of our nature, who allows everything to happen. Ano bah nangyari sa CDO before ng nangyari? As far as I know, the parade for the black nazarene(which draws thousands of people in CDO), happened before the flood. Few hours after the parade, in the afternoon specifically, the heavy rain fall, which then cause this tragedy. So ano maiisip nyo? For me, ang event before the flood ay may malaking kinalaman sa trahedyang nangyari.
Let me share to you what’s on my shell, no offense
… It is clearly stated in the Bible, which is also one of the ten commandments. “Thou shalt have no other gods before Me”. Meaning people should not worship idols or any graven images or statutes, made by man. Sa tingin ko God just poured his wrath in CDO, where the event happened.
That is based on my understanding about this tragedy. No offense. One advise to you guys reading my post. “Do not mess with GOD!”. The end is near and you’ll never know what will happen.
Send me your feedbacks about my post… http://mehkyleworks.com

6th February 2009 at 6:12 am
How are the people from Cagayan de Oro doing now? I hope it’s not too late to try and help out.
It’s amazing how we can now use the internet to help other people out. I mean, I’m not from the Philippines but I’d be glad to help, and I know a lot of people would also be glad too. If happened a couple of decades back, we wouldn’t have had the slightest idea, and we wouldn’t be able to help.
Nice work guys. And good luck on the fund raising!
6th February 2009 at 6:22 am
This is a great project. (Makes me think “why haven’t I thought about this.) It’s good to know that there are a lot of people like you out there.
I’ll also start doing projects like these if ever my city gets flooded (or hit by earthquake). Not that I’m hoping for it to happen.
Will spread the word guys! Ciao!
