Ooops! Hold it! Before I showcase the Upcoming Themes for the month of November allow me to talk a little about the Site Revamp I will be doing next month.
As you know, the kind of environment I am giving you here on WPTD clearly says how I want things to be cool, fun and even colorful. However, this is also the culprit of my “slacking off” and my lack of “passion for blogging”. Honestly, I have outgrown these things. Sure, I am still a fun person but that is my offline life, anyway.
I want to explore my depth as a blogger, I have so much to write about but it just doesn’t fit the mood that I have on this site. I am actually a very opinionated person but due to the circumstances I’ve been through in my life, I learned how to supress it. While working on my Content Niche Sites, I discovered that side of my personality again and I want my main site, wpthemedesigner.com to become my main medium for it.
As for my WordPress Themes, they have also changed.. There are lots of booming wordpress theme designers lately, and if you are looking for something simple and easy to use then I am sure they can take care of it. As for me, I want to tackle and release themes with higher functionality and usability. Themes using Custom Fields, ajax tabs (which you’ve seen on Green Blitz), Featured Post, Featured News Slideshow etc.. The kind of features which you will most likely see on Premium Themes Only. Take a look at the designs and you’ll see what I mean. These themes will be released for the month of November except for the Centric Theme which I might drop for something better. Let me know your favorites!!
Design #1: Rewire Theme – 2 Columns, Ajax Tabs, Numbered Page Navigation, Custom Field Image on Each Post.
Design #2: Alpha Theme – Magazine Style, Featured News, Numbered Page Navigation, Custom Field Image on Each Post.
Design #3: Monotech Theme – Magazine Style, Featured News, Numbered Page Navigation, Custom Field Image on Each post. This theme will be released with different colors to choose from.
Design #4: SlickPress Theme – Magazine Style and will be released with different colors to choose from.
Design #5: Centric Theme - Featured News, Presents content with more focus on Categories.
Design #6: Drenched Theme – Featured News, Custom Field Image on Each Post, Numbered Page Navigation, Flickr Plugin Integration

Oh Chiq, you may want to change this: the link to design #4 is the same with the link to design #5.

@Kat: Can’t believe you *hate* Centric theme. It is my favorite lol

Just check them again more carefully. Drenched Theme is also my favourite one

Magazine themes are the ones I tend to keep an eye on. They are easy to tweak and loads up faster. I’d vote for Alpha & SlickyPress Themes.
I actually like the index page featuring posts in four columns with or without the custom images.

the ‘alpha’ one looks neat.

And I can’t believe that centric is your favorite, ThemeLib. I think it’s the color that I don’t like. It’s too light.
wiehanne on October 31, 2008 at 3:39 am
Doh.. I put a wrong link at my previous comment. It was SU link.
Anyway, looking forward to November and your wonderful themes, Chiq~!
wiehanne on October 31, 2008 at 3:53 am
I just realized that you put centric and drenched at wp-theme-shop section.
I was hoping that it would be another free themes.

No matter what the theme, I look forward to your content, and from what you say here, it would appear that they are likely to be very interesting.

love them all. so hard to choose.. Centric is the best for me.
nix on November 1, 2008 at 1:48 am
for me it was a toss-up between slickpress and rewire. slickpress has a bit of an edge. the themes came up pretty small in my browser, though — can’t wait to see them full-size. i think i agree that centric is not as strong as the others, if you’re planning to do a substitution, though not all of you commenters agree with that.
jackie sheeler on November 1, 2008 at 5:36 am
I will surely be waiting for these themes.

Nice designs! I tried to find a designer last month on forums.digitalpoint.com to design a theme similar to Design #6: Drenched Theme, which was based of a joomla template.
