Oui! As I mentioned in a recent post, I blog purely for pleasure. Though the day for monetization will come eventually, I currently blog for pleasure only. And when I do begin to monetize my blog, I’ll still be blogging for pleasure.

Do you know, especially with the more ‘confessional’ (‘personal’) sort of blogs, one suspects that the monetisation sort of follows on from the sincerity of the blogger: Readers can probably detect purely mercenary intentions and will give the blog a wide berth. But since our blog has only been up seven weeks, it could just be excess idealism speaking…

my cooking blog (which has been up and running for 8 months or so) is purely for pleasure. From my GoogleAnalytics stats I get between 50-120 readers for every article that I publish, so I’m not sure that it merits trying to make money out of it (yet!!). Sharing my experiences in converting from IT Consultant to Chef has already helped one or 2 people wanting to do the same thing – that’s what lights my candle more than making money out of it.
